Goodbye, Farewell and Goodnight

A friend came into my office today to tell me that a friend / acquaintance of ours had passed away on Monday night after a long drawn out battle with illnesses over a fifteen year period.

Phillip had managed to not just cheat death so many times, battling four rounds of bowel cancer and the horrible operations that go along with it, but also in the last year throat cancer.

I had not seen him in a few months, at his request when he was finally sent to a hospice he refused for anyone to go and see him at his worst. He much rather wanted for people to remember his at his best acting his worst!

It's been coming and it's not sad the cats have a new home and his service and wake on Friday will be a who's who of the famous, infamous, not so famous and the extraordinary people that seemed to filter in and out of his life.

So Goodbye Philip, I am sure you will be running around having a splendid time wherever you are.
